Two great cities for a great time

We are offering a range of PhD projects based at our sections in Nottingham and Glasgow. Both cities have plenty to offer.

Nottingham - seriously entertaining

Nottingham will blow you away with its energy and diversity. It boasts one of the best shopping centres in the Midlands and for relaxation time, Nottingham is hard to beat. You can enjoy fantastic restaurants, cinema, major theatre and dance productions, a lively music scene, art exhibitions, and a buzzing late-night bar scene. If you prefer the outdoors, then you will find the Peak District National Park on your doorstep and you can enjoy world-class sporting events at venues like Trent Bridge (cricket), City Ground (football), the National Ice Centre, Nottingham Racecourse, National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont and the Tennis Centre.

Glasgow - Scotland with style

Glasgow is Scotland's shopping and cultural capital. You can catch live music at several venues around the city, as well as classical concerts, opera, ballet, theatre and art exhibitions. There's no shortage of pubs and clubs either. The restaurant and bar scene changes at a breathtaking rate to keep pace with Glasgow's appetite for the new. Edinburgh, with its world-famous Festival and Fringe, is only a short train ride away, as are beautiful mountains and lochs offering a tranquil retreat. For football fans, Glasgow is home to two famous premier league clubs, Celtic and Rangers.
