For 2012, we offer the following projects:
Neuroscience
- Dynamic sound localisation – the neurophysiology of change
- How does the brain combine information across frequency and ears to form auditory objects?
- The neurophysiology of tinnitus and potential pharmacotherapy
Experimental Psychology
- Auditory learning
- The effect of reflections, reverberation, and echoes on speech recognition by hearing-impaired adults
For some projects, candidates without prior experience will be encouraged to complete a one-year taught Masters (MSc or MRes) course, which will be fully funded by IHR. Please contact Dr Katrin Krumbholz or the project supervisor for further information.
